The Territory Sales Manager at Palo Alto Networks is a key role focused on driving company revenue and growth through strategic sales engagements. Responsibilities

  • Perform high-level sales planning, leading to accurate forecasting of the business
  • Build a fundamental understanding of security threats, solutions, security tools or network technologies
  • Generate volume opportunities to deliver a predictable book of business and drive forecast accuracy
  • Engage a programmatic approach to demand to generate, develop, and expand your territory
  • Demonstrate mid-market account selling strategies in partnership with Systems Engineer
  • Communicate value propositions to clients and stakeholders that speak intimately to their needs and requirements
  • Utilize cross-functional resources to achieve quota, including inside sales, channel systems engineering, and field marketing
  • Stay updated on industry news and trends affecting Palo Alto Networks products and services
  • Travel as necessary within your territory and to company-wide meetings

Requirements

  • Technical understanding to cover accounts while Systems Engineer assists others
  • Ability to win using Channel partners with a channel-centric go-to-market approach
  • Demonstrated ability to segment accounts and utilize the ecosystem with a focus on partners and marketing
  • Experience leading all aspects of the sales cycle, including uncovering, qualifying, developing, and closing new territories
  • History of exceeding sales quotas
  • Successful track record selling complex solutions directly to mid-market customers
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Highly competitive, quick to ramp, adaptive, and focused on exceeding production goals
