About the position

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Territory Sales Manager for window and door sales in the Salt Lake City, UT area. This role is pivotal in managing a designated territory, servicing an existing customer base, and establishing relationships with new and potential customers to grow sales revenue. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for developing, servicing, and expanding established accounts while also prospecting, qualifying, and supporting new accounts. The position requires a thorough understanding of the building products industry, particularly in the dealer, distribution, and two-step channels of the business. The successful candidate will utilize a structured call frequency system to plan and organize their daily work schedule, ensuring they pursue existing and potential sales opportunities effectively. They will conduct and participate in sales promotions and customer educational meetings, provide lead generation and follow-through, and evaluate results and competitive developments. Additionally, the Territory Sales Manager will resolve customer complaints, submit annual sales forecasts, and conduct competitive analyses to gather current marketplace information on competitor pricing, products, and service levels. This position also involves preparing and presenting customized sales presentations, maintaining customer profiles, and managing territory and account sales records. The Territory Sales Manager will be expected to submit weekly sales reports and handle various forms of communication. Overall, this role is essential for driving sales growth and ensuring customer satisfaction in the Salt Lake City area.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, service, and grow established accounts

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of proven direct outside sales experience, preferably in the building products industry
  • Thorough knowledge of the building products industry and sales management experience
  • Problem solving and sales negotiation skills
  • General knowledge of major competitive brands
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with sales planning, budgeting, and T&E expense management
  • Strong time management skills
  • Adept at prioritizing multiple responsibilities
  • Essential interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Strong personal motivation and ethics
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including CRM, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Reside in the Salt Lake City, Utah area
  • Building material background preferred with an emphasis on millwork and/or windows and doors
