About the position

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing market penetration and growth while increasing sales and profitability for NAPA independent Store Owners. This role focuses on creating a superior customer experience and managing program implementations to enhance market competitiveness and profitability for store owners and their installer customers. The position emphasizes inventory readiness and ensures that independent stores are equipped to succeed in their respective markets.

Responsibilities

  • Achieves territory sales quotas by assessing client needs and following defined selling processes.
  • Possesses in-depth product knowledge to present, communicate, and sell store owners on NAPA programs.
  • Maintains customer relationships to ensure exceptional service and resolves issues through problem-solving.
  • Coordinates with other sales representatives to promote outside sales resources and ensure quotas are met.
  • Partners with store owners to utilize NAPA programs and systems effectively.
  • Makes recommendations based on market needs regarding store product strategies.
  • Ensures ISO accepts PULSE recommended stocking inventory pulls and orders.
  • Promotes the use of ISO Analytics and supports pricing standards.
  • Assists stores with commercial account registrations related to rebates and pricing.
  • Facilitates special sales events and leads store setup and training.
  • Communicates and assists in executing warranty policies.
  • Ensures usage of the Sales Training Program and guides stores through classification processes.
  • Reviews operating reports and provides high-level reviews of store financials.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in a customer-focused role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrates understanding of sales principles, techniques, and processes.
  • Ability to identify and meet customer needs to build strong relationships.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Strong drive to meet or exceed sales targets with financial acumen.
  • Deep understanding of product specifications and differentiators.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and inventory management software.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree or equivalent sales experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a NAPA store or other retail experience in the automotive industry.
