The Processor and distributor of branded, private label, and specialty meat and seafood is seeking a dynamic leader to manage the Reno/Tahoe region. This position involves overseeing a team of 7 sales representatives and leading the company's regional sales efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the sales processes, enhancing product knowledge, and managing promotional activities. A strong emphasis will be placed on customer engagement and strategic sales growth initiatives, ensuring that the sales team meets their targets and contributes to the overall success of the company. In this role, you will prepare annual regional sales budgets and quarterly forecasts, ensuring that financial goals are met. You will also meet with key customers and regional clients to foster relationships and ensure customer satisfaction. Communication with various departments, including procurement, production, shipping, and finance, will be crucial to maintaining a seamless operation. You will lead weekly territory sales calls to discuss successes, opportunities, and action plans, while also managing quarterly sales team member reviews to assess performance and provide feedback. Additionally, you will be responsible for recruiting efforts for regional sales positions, as well as training and onboarding new team members. This position requires a proactive approach to reviewing key sales KPI data and assisting the sales team with actionable plans to drive results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, particularly in the protein products sector, and will be adept at leading a team to achieve ambitious sales goals.
