The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) at Interstate Batteries plays a crucial role in driving new customer acquisition within their designated territory. The TSM will also coordinate with Inside Sales Specialists to ensure efficiency and success in their sales efforts. A significant aspect of the job involves developing an insights-based sales approach tailored to potential new dealers, helping them to grow their entire book of business. The TSM is expected to follow established best practices and procedures, including maintaining activity levels, qualifying opportunities, and effectively positioning the company's value proposition with prospects. Documentation is key in this role, as the TSM will be required to log customer and prospect interactions in CRM tools, ensuring that the sales pipeline accurately reflects current activities and opportunities. Sharing best practices with peers in the TSM community and partnering with the Dealer Development Manager for ongoing education and support of both new and existing dealers are also essential components of the job. This position requires a proactive and results-driven individual who can thrive in a dynamic sales environment.
