About the position

Stratford Building Corporation is seeking a dedicated and motivated Territory Sales Manager to join our team at our Rathdrum, Idaho manufacturing facility. As a Residential Home Builder specializing in modular construction, we have over 30 years of experience serving the Pacific Northwest. The Territory Sales Manager will play a crucial role in managing residential sales within their designated territory, representing Stratford on commercial projects, and driving sales to meet our business objectives. This position is a salary role with additional commission opportunities based on projects sold. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales, particularly in the residential construction sector, and will be knowledgeable about construction specifications and scope of work. Excellent communication and people skills are essential, as the Territory Sales Manager will interact with builders, developers, and home buyers to assist them in selecting homes and understanding the modular construction process. The role requires a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team, with a proven track record of success in meeting deadlines and achieving sales targets. In this position, the Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for traveling throughout their territory to identify development opportunities, follow up on leads, and manage the home development process from design to final payments and shipment. The role also involves collaborating with the Project Manager to ensure accurate specifications and keeping clients informed about production progress. A positive attitude and a commitment to customer service are vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage residential sales in their prescribed territory
  • Sell and represent Stratford on Commercial projects to the point of sale and contract
  • Travel throughout their territory to find development and build opportunities
  • Travel throughout their territory to find potential builders for our products
  • Follow up on leads that may be potential customers in their territory
  • Assist builders, developers, and home buyers with home selection
  • Detail floor plan choices and document specification
  • Work with the Project Manager to assure accurate and complete specifications for each home
  • Manage the home development process through design, costing, building, and final payments and shipment
  • Assist with invoicing and shipping of homes
  • Review production progress keeping clients appraised of the progress
  • Review homes in production and completed homes to assure they are built to signed and agreed specifications
  • Attend installations to educate and train builders on proper installation procedures
  • Assist with brochures, mail outs, and marketing material as needed

Requirements

  • Two year college degree preferred
  • Must have sales experience preferably in Residential Construction
  • Construction Knowledge is Required
  • Construction Specification and Scope of Work Knowledge is Required
  • Great People Skills
  • Great Communication Skills
  • Modular construction knowledge is helpful, but not required
  • Ability to travel out of town up to 50% of time
  • Must be able to work individually and as part of a team
  • Must be a self starter with proven track record of success
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
