About the position

As a Territory Sales Manager for Cornerstone Building Brands, you will play a crucial role in managing a designated territory to drive sales revenue and represent the company professionally. This position is integral to our dynamic team, where your contributions are valued, and your professional development is prioritized. You will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, selling, supporting, and developing your account base. This includes providing both pre-sales and post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Your role will involve performing various sales and account management functions aimed at achieving and exceeding sales quotas. In this position, you will develop and grow established accounts while also servicing existing accounts and establishing new ones. You will study existing and potential volume by market segment to identify opportunities for growth. Utilizing a structured call frequency system, you will plan and organize your daily work schedule to pursue sales opportunities effectively. Additionally, you will conduct and participate in sales promotions and customer educational meetings to enhance customer engagement and product knowledge. Your responsibilities will also include providing lead generation and follow-through, recommending pricing changes within established guidelines, and resolving customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions. You will be expected to submit annual sales forecasts, conduct competitive analyses, and gather current marketplace information on competitor pricing and product offerings. Customizing sales presentations and maintaining accurate customer profiles and territory sales records will be essential to your success in this role. Overall, this position requires a proactive approach to sales management, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow established accounts
  • Service existing accounts and obtain sales orders
  • Establish new accounts and study existing and potential volume by market segment
  • Utilize structured call frequency system to plan and organize daily work schedule
  • Conduct and participate in sales promotion and customer educational meetings
  • Provide lead generation and follow through
  • Recommend changes in pricing and adjust pricing within established guidelines
  • Resolve customer complaints and develop solutions
  • Submit annual sales forecast and conduct competitive analysis
  • Gather current marketplace information on competitor pricing and products
  • Customize sales presentations and prepare effective opening and closing techniques
  • Provide sales administration and maintain historical records
  • Submit weekly sales reports as required
  • Develop and maintain customer profiles and territory sales records
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3 years proven direct sales experience, preferably in the building products industry
  • Thorough knowledge of the building products industry and sales management experience
  • Strong problem-solving and sales negotiation skills
  • General knowledge of major competitive brands
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Strong personal motivation
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
