About the position

The Territory Business Manager (TBM) at Heilind is responsible for leading and managing the field sales team in the San Jose, CA area. This role involves hiring, training, and developing sales talent while maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers. The TBM will implement sales strategies, oversee daily sales activities, and ensure the team's success in achieving performance objectives. This position requires strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to helping team members succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the Heilind field sales team.
  • Hire, train, and develop sales talent to its full potential.
  • Manage day-to-day sales activities with customers and suppliers.
  • Implement strategies for customer development and sales growth.
  • Network to identify industry talent and manage multiple priorities.
  • Devise and oversee the execution of a winning business plan.
  • Set the branch field sales strategy and celebrate team accomplishments.
  • Maintain metrics and coach salespeople on effective habits.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-ones and quarterly reviews with team members.
  • Meet with key vendors for business reviews and establish relationships with top customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or at least 5 years of experience in component distribution or a related field.
  • Prior sales and/or personnel management experience is desired.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of sales strategy and distribution economics.
  • Positive attitude, self-driven, and customer-focused.
