About the position

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for building and nurturing strong customer relationships within a designated region, specifically Nevada, TX. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing strategies aimed at increasing regional revenue through consumer research and maximizing potential revenues while fostering client loyalty. The position requires a proactive approach to recruiting new agents and developing existing ones, with a focus on managing the entire sales process. This includes identifying prospects, conducting cold calls, engaging in face-to-face meetings, demonstrating products and services, and vetting potential agents for the company's money remittance platform. In this role, the Territory Sales Manager will spend approximately 80% of their time on recruiting new agents and 20% on developing existing relationships within the assigned territory. The manager will actively oversee the sign-up, setup, and training of agents, ensuring they are well-equipped to utilize the company's services effectively. Regular communication with agency decision-makers is essential to train personnel, monitor product dynamics, and cultivate long-term loyalty to the company. The manager will also be responsible for making data-driven recommendations regarding product pricing and commissions, executing marketing plans to support transaction growth, and analyzing market data to address performance trends. The position requires a self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of working independently and under pressure. Strong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are necessary, along with the ability to work from home and travel daily within the assigned territory. The role may involve prolonged periods of sitting while driving and visiting various businesses to install equipment. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated, with a preference for those who have prior experience in the money transfer or money service business.

Responsibilities

  • Spend a majority of the time (80%) recruiting new agents and (20%) developing existing ones within assigned territory.
  • Manage the entire sales process from identifying prospects, cold calling, face-to-face meetings, product/service demonstration to the vetting process of a potential agent.
  • Actively and successfully manage the sign-up, set-up, and training of an agent in our money remittance platform and compliance.
  • Provide new and existing agents with standard merchandising and POS material.
  • Regularly call on agency decision-makers and personnel to train, monitor product/consumer dynamics and develop strong relationships with agents to ensure long-term loyalty to the company.
  • Make fact-based recommendations on product pricing and commission.
  • Execute both self-conceived and assigned marketing plans to support transaction growth.
  • Analyze market data and company reports to address, reinforce, or correct market and/or agency performance trends and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Support various departments at headquarters to ensure that agents comply with policies and procedures.
  • Secure and forward marketplace/competitive reconnaissance to senior management.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years of successful outside sales experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in outside sales, business development, and account management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Experience in cold calling, product demonstration, and selling products or services.
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory daily and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
