About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Cameron Ashley Building Products is responsible for driving sales growth within a designated geographical area. This role focuses on leveraging industry knowledge and building strong relationships with customers to enhance the company's market presence. The position requires proactive engagement with existing and potential customers, strategic account management, and effective communication of the company's value proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with new, existing, and potential customers to establish effective sales relationships.
  • Develop and drive strategic growth strategies to manage customer accounts.
  • Utilize product knowledge and market awareness to represent the company's products and services effectively.
  • Develop the assigned geographical area by leveraging strategic contacts and targeting new opportunities.
  • Work with the Distribution Center Manager and Inside Sales Representatives to execute key account penetration strategies.
  • Provide timely quotes and sell customers on the company's value-add and service.
  • Handle price objections, negotiations, and prepare bids.
  • Keep customers updated on product and price information.
  • Develop and deliver sales and educational presentations to internal and external customers.
  • Record, analyze, report, and forecast account information to identify sales strategies and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Outside sales experience is a must, preferably in building products.
  • Ability to understand key aspects of selling on value rather than price.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a dynamic sales cycle.
  • Self-directed approach to studying new products and promotions.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass drug tests and background verifications.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
