About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Cameron Ashley Building Products is responsible for driving sales growth within a designated geographical area. This role involves leveraging industry knowledge to enhance customer relationships and expand the company's market presence. The TSM will engage with existing and potential customers, develop strategic growth initiatives, and represent the company's diverse product offerings effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with new, existing, and potential customers to establish effective sales relationships.
  • Develop and implement strategic growth strategies for managing customer accounts.
  • Utilize product knowledge and market awareness to represent the company's products and services.
  • Expand the assigned geographical area by leveraging strategic contacts and targeting new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Distribution Center Manager and Inside Sales Representatives to execute key account strategies.
  • Provide timely quotes and effectively communicate the company's value-add and services to customers.
  • Handle price objections, negotiations, and prepare bids as necessary.
  • Keep customers informed about product and pricing updates.
  • Deliver sales and educational presentations to internal and external customers.
  • Record, analyze, report, and forecast account information to identify sales strategies and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Must have outside sales experience, preferably in building products.
  • Ability to sell based on value rather than price.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate the dynamic sales cycle.
  • Self-directed in studying new products and industry literature.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory (50-75%) with limited overnight stays.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Ability to pass drug tests and background checks.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
