The Territory Sales Manager will effectively manage a designated territory and support a designated sales team in their efforts to grow sales revenue while professionally representing Ply Gem. This role involves prospecting, qualifying, selling, supporting, and developing an account base. The Territory Sales Manager will provide both pre-sales and post-sales support, performing essential sales and account management functions to achieve and exceed quotas. The position requires conducting customer account development training and identifying potential customers, creating proposals, and executing company sales strategies. Participation in customer trade shows is also a key aspect of this role. The responsibilities include developing and growing established accounts, servicing existing accounts, obtaining sales orders, and establishing new accounts. The Territory Sales Manager will study existing and potential volume by market segment and exercise proper and complete sales resource utilization to assist in securing new business. This includes utilizing a structured call frequency system to plan and organize daily work schedules in pursuit of existing and potential territory sale opportunities. The role also involves conducting and/or participating in sales promotions and customer educational meetings, providing lead generation and follow-through, and recommending changes in pricing while evaluating results and competitive developments. Additionally, the Territory Sales Manager will resolve customer complaints by evaluating issues, investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management. They will submit annual sales forecasts, conduct competitive analyses, and gather current marketplace information on competitor pricing, products, new products, service levels, and merchandising techniques. Customizing sales presentations and knowing the proper techniques in preparing an opening, presenting, overcoming objections, and concluding a presentation are also critical. The position requires maintaining customer profiles and territory and account sales records, and may involve performing AIA (American Institute of Architects) presentations as needed.
