About the position

As a Territory Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in fostering relationships that not only build businesses but also support individuals and enhance our industry. Our approach is centered on creating long-lasting value, ensuring that when we prioritize the needs of people, we ultimately benefit pets as well. This position offers a starting salary of $65,000, along with monthly auto and mileage reimbursement. Daily travel is a requirement for field coverage, corporate meetings, and trade shows, which may include out-of-state travel and occasional overnight stays to ensure proper regional coverage. During peak times, you may need to work outside of standard hours to meet business demands. In this role, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of Pet Food Experts' brands and products, market conditions, and retailer strategies to maximize your selling efforts. Your primary objective will be to achieve sales goals by fostering sustainable and profitable growth through the effective execution of Vendor Development strategies and programs with retailers. You will also be responsible for creating and implementing business plans for high-value retailers, utilizing Tableau data to analyze business performance and identify growth opportunities. Additionally, you will execute our standard 30-day rolling sales process to optimize your selling time and drive sales growth. Building strong business relationships with key retailers, vendor partners, and community leaders in your territory will be essential for achieving market share leadership. Collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager, peers, and vendor partners will be necessary to develop sustainable retailer relationships and drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Pet Food Expert's brands & products, market conditions, and retailer strategies to maximize selling efforts.
  • Achieve Pet Food Experts territory sales objectives by building sustainable, profitable sales growth through successful execution of Vendor Development category/brand strategies and programs with Retailers.
  • Develop and implement business plans for high-value Retailers utilizing Tableau data to analyze the business and identify the biggest growth opportunities.
  • Execute Pet Food Experts standard 30-day rolling Sales process to optimize selling time and sales growth.
  • Build strong business relationships with key Retailers, Vendor Partners, and community thought leaders in the territory to achieve market share leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with Regional Sales Manager, peers, and Vendor Partners to develop sustainable retailer relationships and sales growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree BA or BS (preferably in business or life sciences)
  • Minimum 3 years of Sales and/or Business to Business Sales experience with demonstrated mastery of the job accountabilities.
  • Clean driving record as verified by MVR (initial and annual review and approval of MVR).
