About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Do it Best Corp. is a pivotal role focused on expanding market share and enhancing the experience of our member-owners. This position requires a deep understanding of our products, promotions, and programs to ensure that every interaction adds value to our members. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and professionalism by actively engaging with current and prospective members. This role is essential in amplifying the sales experience and requires a proactive approach to grow sales and attract new members to the co-op. The successful candidate will travel extensively throughout Eastern Texas and Western Louisiana, dedicating up to 75% of their time to selling member-owners programs, services, and promotional products that benefit their businesses. This includes collaborating with member-owners to implement best practices in their retail locations and working closely with corporate team members to address the unique needs of each member. Additionally, the Territory Sales Manager will engage in prospecting efforts to identify independent home improvement retailers who could benefit from joining the co-op. The role may also involve assisting members in planning and preparing for major in-store events aimed at driving consumer traffic. Candidates with experience in Outside Sales, Home Improvement Sales, or Building Materials Sales are strongly encouraged to apply, as these backgrounds will provide a solid foundation for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Traveling throughout the territory to sell member-owners programs, services, and promotional products that will benefit their businesses.
  • Working with member-owners to implement best practices in their retail locations.
  • Collaborating with team members in the corporate office to appropriately address each member's needs.
  • Prospecting within the territory to find other independent home improvement retailers who could join the co-op.
  • Occasionally helping members plan and prepare for major in-store events to drive consumer traffic.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business, or related experience.
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience.
  • Strong work ethic.
