About the position

The Field Sales Executive at Quill is responsible for driving new revenue growth by acquiring new customers in the public sector and commercial markets. This role involves developing territory penetration strategies, qualifying prospects, and presenting Quill's value propositions to potential clients. The position requires a strong focus on meeting sales quotas, maintaining accurate records in CRM, and collaborating with the account management team to ensure a smooth transition for new customers. The Field Sales Executive will also represent Quill at various events and conferences to expand the customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Drive conversion of 1M new revenue from new customers.
  • Build programs to orchestrate sales growth in the public sector (SLED) and commercial market.
  • Develop territory penetration strategies and analyze individual performance.
  • Qualify prospects based on customer size, spend, and potential.
  • Schedule appointments and meet with prospective customers in person.
  • Utilize marketing collateral to create engaging presentations.
  • Attend conferences, tradeshows, and events to represent Quill.
  • Create and present custom pricing solutions to potential customers.
  • Leverage education contracts to acquire new education customers.
  • Ensure smooth transition to the account management team upon customer commitment.
  • Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly quotas and key metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM, including activity logs and pipeline.
  • Seek ways to improve through coaching and collaboration with peers.
  • Build trust and lead by example within the team.
  • Consolidate business from other vendors and develop trusted advisor relationships.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED
  • 4+ years of field sales experience

Nice-to-haves

  • 6 months+ of relevant experience in the public sector market
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven business development experience
