About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Pactiv Evergreen Inc. is responsible for driving sales growth within a designated territory, which includes various states such as Arkansas, Tennessee, and Georgia. This role involves direct communication with customers, executing sales plans, and maintaining effective distribution agreements. The ideal candidate will work closely with major broadline distributors and various sectors including healthcare and food service, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals and execute sales plans within assigned territory.
• Secure and maintain distribution of products and effective agreements.
• Communicate directly with customers, both present and prospective.
• Perform field promotion work and develop new accounts.
• Demonstrate products and assist in their best application.
• Contact prospects to explain product features and merits using persuasive techniques.
• Analyze sales records, trends, and costs to inform management.
• Close sales transactions and manage customer relationships regarding pricing and warranty claims.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree preferred in business, sales/marketing or related field.
• 2-3 years of previous sales experience required.
• Ability to travel frequently (30-40%), including some overnight travel.
• Demonstrated skills in initiative, problem solving, negotiation, and persuasive communication.
• Ability to function independently.
• Valid driver's license required.
