About the position

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for managing and growing professional customer accounts within a designated territory. This role involves maintaining a strong customer base, increasing sales volume, and ensuring excellent customer service while promoting company products and programs. The TSM will work closely with store managers and other team members to achieve sales objectives and enhance business relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain customer base and increase sales volume on assigned accounts, averaging 18-22 calls per day.
  • Manage accounts to best serve professional customers and maintain up-to-date records for each account.
  • Grow business by remaining competitive and maximizing profit opportunities in the market.
  • Pursue new prospective accounts with a goal of two to five weekly cold calls.
  • Promote and provide training on company programs to build relationships with professional customers.
  • Ensure assigned accounts have a set call schedule in the Sales Call Management Tool and communicate plans with store managers.
  • Address and support customer service issues that hinder business growth in accordance with company policy.
  • Work with credit and store managers to resolve collection issues with professional customers.
  • Serve as a liaison between stores and professional customers on sensitive issues.
  • Utilize information from weekly communications and conference calls to enhance business compliance.
  • Complete assigned training to maximize field skills and remain compliant with company policies.
  • Review and provide information for reports that support territory operations.
  • Participate in trade shows and training classes as scheduled.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of auto repair, parts, equipment, and systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Basic computer and typing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Technical training or schooling.
  • Completion of TSM Track in Fast Track Training.
