About the position

SPT Labtech is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to oversee sales success in the Mid-Atlantic region, focusing on liquid handling and sample management products. The role requires a proactive and organized individual with a strong background in Life Sciences and lab automation. The manager will work closely with the commercial team to promote products, manage pre-sale and post-sale activities, and build relationships with customers to enhance sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Promotion, market development, and sales of liquid handling and sample management product lines.
  • Managing pre-sale activities until purchase order and supporting post-sales activities.
  • Collaborating with sales specialists, support, product management, and marketing teams.
  • Scheduling and conducting product presentations and demonstrations to customers.
  • Effectively managing the customer database and proposing a global strategy based on quantifiable objectives.
  • Organizing work time according to defined priorities to achieve personal and company goals.
  • Implementing company priorities regarding products and market strategies.
  • Developing and following up on sales opportunities across different product lines.
  • Building consultative relationships with customers and becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Positioning SPT solutions in relation to end-user workflows and explaining benefits using available communication tools.
  • Maintaining optimal application knowledge with support functions.
  • Managing CRM data effectively.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in capital equipment sales in the Life Sciences Market.
  • Experience selling automated liquid handling technologies or familiarity with lab automation solutions.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a Life Science discipline.
  • Background in Genomics or Protein Crystallography is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
  • Proven success in business development and sales.
  • Ability to conduct presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Autonomous and capable of working remotely.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce is desirable.
