About the position

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for managing a designated territory to grow sales revenue while representing Cornerstone Building Brands. This role involves prospecting, qualifying, selling, and developing an account base, as well as providing pre-sales and post-sales support to achieve and exceed sales quotas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow established accounts
  • Service existing accounts, obtain sales orders, and establish new accounts
  • Utilize structured call frequency system to plan and organize daily work schedule
  • Conduct and participate in sales promotion and customer educational meetings
  • Provide lead generation and follow through
  • Recommend changes in pricing and adjust pricing within established guidelines
  • Resolve customer complaints and develop solutions
  • Submit annual sales forecast and conduct competitive analysis
  • Customize sales presentations and prepare effective sales techniques
  • Provide sales administration and maintain historical records
  • Develop and maintain customer profile and territory sales records

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3 years proven direct sales experience, preferably in the building products industry
  • Thorough knowledge of the building products industry and sales management experience
  • Problem solving and sales negotiation skills
  • General knowledge of major competitive brands
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with sales planning, budgeting, and T&E expense management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Solid time management skills
  • Adept at prioritizing multiple responsibilities
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Strong personal motivation
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
