As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be at the heart of Marlon's operations, responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with dealers across your territory. This role requires a proactive approach to expanding dealer channels through prospecting, recruiting, selecting, and training new dealers. You will provide exceptional customer service by facilitating product training, assisting with pricing and sales promotions, and guiding dealers on how to grow their businesses effectively. Additionally, you will be tasked with recapping sales call activities, reporting on business opportunities, and sharing insights on market trends and competitive information. The position demands a strong ability to travel within the territory to build relationships with key dealers, develop new and existing accounts, and engage with competitive dealers. You will also be responsible for identifying new products and potential upselling opportunities within the dealer network, entering orders into the system, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current and new products. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of sales margins, product sourcing, pricing, and negotiations, along with a proven track record in solution selling rather than just price-based selling. Post-secondary education in sales or marketing is preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products is essential. Candidates with industry experience will be highly regarded.
