About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at NAPA is responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration for independently owned NAPA Auto Parts Stores. This role involves managing program implementations, building strong relationships with store owners and installer customers, and ensuring effective inventory management. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sales, customer service, and helping businesses succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage NAPA program implementations to enhance store-owner and installer customer market share.
  • Achieve territory sales quotas and provide training to store employees on NAPA programs.
  • Engage in sales calls, close deals, and maintain accounts with store owners.
  • Prepare stores for effective inventory management and operational procedures.
  • Create a roadmap for store activities including revamps and open houses.
  • Implement the NAPA inventory effectiveness program and assist store employees in utilizing point of sale systems.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred or equivalent sales experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-focused role managing accounts.
  • Prior experience in the Automotive Aftermarket or retail automotive industry.
  • Demonstrated basic selling skills and ability to manage customer meetings.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Automotive/Mechanical background (not mandatory).
  • Experience with building and developing strong customer relationships.
