About the position

Royal-Durham Supply has been serving the manufactured housing industry as a distributor of quality products since 1964. We are dedicated to providing quality products and service to the mobile home industry, with a focus on customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking a Territory Sales Manager for our Wichita, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing sales across multiple product lines within our existing customer base while also identifying new prospects and opportunities. Your primary goal will be to successfully close new business by converting prospects into customers, ensuring that all sales opportunities align with the growth and profitability objectives of both your territory and the company. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will identify and convert prospects into new customers, establishing positive relationships with our current customer base to maintain and grow the business. Regular calls and visits to customers and prospects will be essential to generate sales growth and develop strong customer relationships. You will also be tasked with developing a strategic plan for growing the territory, forecasting sales by customer and product category, and meeting or exceeding these goals. Educating prospects and customers on the value-added features and benefits of our products, as well as our commitment to customer service, will be a key part of your responsibilities. Communication with sales management regarding opportunities, successes, and concerns within the territory will be crucial. You will need to make recommendations and adjustments to overcome any barriers to success. Acting as the liaison between the customer and Royal-Durham Supply, you will follow up and respond promptly to customer requests to ensure excellent customer service. Additionally, you will represent Royal-Durham Supply at trade shows and conventions, showcasing our products and services in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and converts prospects to new customers.
  • Establishes positive relationships with current customer base to maintain and grow the business.
  • Calls and visits regularly customers and prospects to generate sales growth and develop customer relationships.
  • Develops a strategic plan for growing the territory and forecasts sales by customer and product category.
  • Meets or exceeds sales goals.
  • Educates prospects and customers on the value-added features and benefits of our products and our customer service commitment.
  • Communicates timely to sales management opportunities, successes, and concerns within the territory.
  • Acts as the liaison between the customer and Royal-Durham Supply.
  • Follows up and responds timely to customer requests to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Attends trade shows and conventions and represents Royal-Durham Supply in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of successful selling experience in a related industry.
  • Experience selling HVAC products and knowledge of the manufactured housing industry is preferred.
  • Prior building materials distribution experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to establish relationships with customers and close prospects that result in sales growth.
  • Ability to strategically plan and execute on sales forecasts and business plan goals.
  • Understands market trends and the implications of those trends.
  • Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience using CRM is preferred.
  • Strong reasoning and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to handle multiple issues and details at one time.
  • Excellent selling, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Must be willing to travel 3 nights a week on a regular basis.
  • Must live within the territory.
