About the position

CORT is seeking a full-time Residential Territory Sales Manager to cover the thriving Houston territory. This role is pivotal as the Residential Territory Sales Manager will lead our residential outside sales team while also building and growing strategic accounts. The ideal candidates are those who can envision ways to assist clientele with our diverse range of products and services. The primary responsibility of the Residential Territory Sales Manager is to coordinate and evaluate the performance of outside sales teams, with the overarching goal of meeting and exceeding the budgeted revenue for unit growth within the sales region. This position emphasizes the importance of building new business opportunities while continuing to develop existing relationships. As a full-time, outside sales position, the role may require driving up to five days a week. The Residential Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for building, directing, coaching, and motivating an effective sales team to develop profitable revenue streams. This includes calling on key customers to ensure service satisfaction and identifying continued growth opportunities. The manager will also review market analysis to determine customer needs and volume potential, develop sales campaigns to achieve sales goals, and engage in business development through industry networking. Additionally, the role involves aiding in the negotiation and bidding processes for furniture rental contracts, as well as directing strategic processes involved in business organization planning, coordination, and execution. Effective communication with Operations is essential to ensure that sales strategies align with district needs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • College degree with 3+ years of combined business-to-business sales experience and distance management experience or minimum 3-5 years industry experience without degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a sales force with a proven record of increasing sales and profit.
  • Excellent communication and reasoning skills, computer proficiency, and account development and management skills.
  • Ability to develop effective marketing strategies, accurately forecast revenue growth and profit.
  • Ability to build relationships with external and internal customers.
  • Must have valid state driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
