About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Bridgestone Golf is responsible for achieving monthly and annual sales goals by actively selling, marketing, and merchandising Bridgestone and Precept Brand golf products. This role involves managing customer relationships, executing promotional programs, and ensuring distribution goals are met within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage territory by calling on current and prospective customers to sell company products and solidify relationships.
  • Arrange promotion programs and resolve customer problems.
  • Plan account growth strategies and execute merchandising standards.
  • Achieve a minimum of 50% overnight travel as necessary.
  • Spend at least 10% of total work hours prospecting for and closing new account business.
  • Prepare and follow a zone territory coverage plan based on account potential and territory logistics.
  • Write and update formal account plans for designated accounts.
  • Quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales orders.
  • Keep records of all sales call achievements, opportunities, and results.
  • Assist Customer Service and Credit Departments in resolving customer complaints and collecting past due accounts.
  • Manage car stock inventory and move products between accounts as necessary.
  • Comply with company expense report policy and submit reports on time and within budget.
  • Submit weekly call activity reports to respective RSD and corporate office.
  • Attend and actively participate in regional and national sales meetings and trade shows.
  • Conduct periodic account survey visits to key National and Regional Accounts within territory.

Requirements

  • Three to four years of proven successful field sales experience within the golf or CPG industry.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a fully accredited four-year college or university preferred.
  • Must have a dependable vehicle with sufficient room to carry product car stock and necessary samples.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sales catalogs, credit applications, and technical information about company products.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
