About the position

The position involves calling on assigned and new Professional Customer Accounts, working closely with store managers to achieve consistent professional account sales growth through the sales of company products and professional program offerings. The role requires maintaining a professional image and following company policies to ensure efficient territory operations. The job entails an average of 18 - 22 calls per day, managing accounts, pursuing new accounts, and providing training on various company programs. The TSM position is a full-time commission/base role that may require more than eight hours of work per day, starting at 7:30 - 7:45 a.m. and returning no sooner than 4:30 p.m. Overnight travel may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain customer base and increase sales volume on assigned accounts.
  • Average 18 - 22 calls per day to assigned accounts.
  • Manage accounts to best serve professional customers and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Grow business by remaining competitive and maximizing profit opportunities.
  • Pursue 2 to 5 new prospective accounts weekly through cold calls.
  • Promote and provide training on company programs to build relationships with customers.
  • Ensure assigned accounts have a set call schedule in the Sales Call Management Tool.
  • Communicate plans and action items with store managers before customer calls.
  • Address and support customer service issues that hinder business growth.
  • Work with credit and store managers to resolve collection issues with Professional Customers.
  • Serve as a liaison between stores and Professional Customers on sensitive issues.
  • Utilize information from TeamNet communication systems to enhance business compliance.
  • Complete assigned and extra credit LMS to maximize field skills and remain compliant with company policies.
  • Review and provide information for reports supporting territory operations.
  • Maintain a professional image and adhere to the Field Apparel Program.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of auto repair, parts, equipment, and systems.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Basic computer and typing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Reliable Transportation.
