About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at PALFINGER is responsible for driving sales of crane and lifting solutions across a designated territory, specifically in New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming. This role involves a combination of equipment sales and providing support for major fleet accounts nationwide. The position requires a deep understanding of Palfinger products and the ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate their value to customers. The Territory Sales Manager will also participate in trade shows and work closely with production and engineering teams to meet customer demands and sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed knowledge of Palfinger products and markets.
  • Support in developing standard product offerings tied to market applications.
  • Understand applications and industry segments that align with the products being sold.
  • Participate in trade shows and represent the brand.
  • Perform on-site demonstrations of equipment and product hand-over.
  • Cross-sell and promote the Palfinger brand for all products sold and serviced in North America.
  • Coordinate customer demands and relay deadlines with production and engineering teams.
  • Track activities and quotes through the company-provided CRM system.
  • Produce accurate quotes that meet customer expectations.
  • Interact courteously with customers and respond to quotes promptly.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets to achieve forecasted goals.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; 4-year college degree or relevant experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in broad/general capital equipment sales.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in the knuckle boom crane or truck-mounted forklift equipment industry.
  • CDL license preferred or ability to obtain one.
  • Strong initiative and ability to create customer relations leading to order intake.
  • Knowledge of equipment repair processes and support for service and parts.
  • Experience in construction, mining, and building material market applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Windows applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
