About the position

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth of the company's diverse range of building products and services within a designated geographical area. This role emphasizes building strong relationships with existing and potential customers, leveraging industry knowledge to enhance the company's market presence, and executing strategic growth initiatives. The position requires proactive engagement with customers to increase sales and ensure satisfaction, while also collaborating with internal teams to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engages with new, existing, and potential customers to establish effective sales relationships.
  • Develops and drives strategic growth strategies to manage customer accounts.
  • Utilizes product knowledge and market awareness to represent the company's offerings effectively.
  • Targets new opportunities while developing assigned geographical areas through strategic contacts.
  • Collaborates with Distribution Center Manager and Inside Sales Representatives to penetrate key accounts and grow existing business.
  • Provides timely quotes and sells customers on the company's value-add and service.
  • Handles price objections, negotiations, and prepares bids.
  • Keeps customers updated on product and price information.
  • Delivers sales and educational presentations to internal and external customers.
  • Records, analyzes, reports, and forecasts account information to identify sales strategies and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Outside sales experience is a must; building products experience is preferred.
  • Ability to sell based on value rather than price.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate the dynamic sales cycle.
  • Self-directed approach to learning about new products and industry trends.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass drug tests and background verifications.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
