About the position

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers through direct company visits and contact calls. This role focuses on driving sales through dealer networks, providing product training, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective service and follow-up. The position requires significant travel and involves presenting product information, completing estimates, and participating in trade shows.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers through company visits and contact calls.
  • Implement end-user pull-through sales programs through the dealer direct network.
  • Present product information to increase and maintain sales.
  • Train dealer sales staff on products, demonstrations, and dealer/prospect calls.
  • Complete estimates and develop customer sales programs as needed.
  • Assist with customer service, including follow-up on customer complaints and troubleshooting.
  • Distribute product literature and manage price changes.
  • Complete dealer call reports and sales forecasting.
  • Assist in maintaining competitor files.
  • Demonstrate products and participate in trade shows.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of sales experience.
  • Ability to travel 75-80% of the time.
  • Ability to train dealers and customers as needed.
  • Knowledge of the truck equipment industry preferred, including major competitors and their products.
  • Technical knowledge preferred in hydraulics, steel, and report creation/calculations.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Commercial Driver's License desired.
