About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at DeJarnett Sales, Inc. is responsible for managing sales in the El Paso and Las Cruces areas, focusing on both retail and wholesale accounts. This role involves presenting and selling various product initiatives, maintaining sales data, and ensuring product quality and placement in stores. The position requires strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Presenting and selling initiatives, including new product lines, private labels, promotions, and full product lines.
  • Maintaining, understanding, and updating sales data/materials to provide competitive sales growth initiatives.
  • Analyzing potential opportunities to improve efficiency of product placement to increase sales performance.
  • Stocking shelves/cold boxes when needed; rotating merchandise; monitoring pricing and shelf tags for proper promo execution.
  • Verifying that stores maintain quality and quantity of product on shelves by ensuring product freshness and back stock rotation.
  • Reporting sale issues/concerns to Regional Sales Manager and store management to improve point of purchase requirements.
  • Managing special projects as assigned to fulfill the stores' needs.
  • Attending all required Trade Shows.
  • Traveling Intrastate and Interstate (overnight travel).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the Grocery Industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team.
  • High level of professionalism and competent customer service skills.
