About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for Alpha Matrix is a senior-level role focused on driving sales growth in the automation solutions sector, specifically targeting the Food and Beverage industry. This position involves developing strategic sales plans, engaging with key decision-makers, and presenting tailored automation solutions to enhance efficiency in manufacturing processes. The role requires extensive travel within the Mid-East/South-East region of the United States, particularly around Nashville, Atlanta, and Charlotte, to foster client relationships and close sales deals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting contract manufacturing and Food & Beverage companies within the specified region.
  • Identify, engage, and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in manufacturing organizations.
  • Present and demonstrate automation equipment solutions tailored to client needs, emphasizing efficiency and process improvements.
  • Travel within the assigned territory to meet with clients and prospects, conducting in-person meetings and consultations.
  • Negotiate contracts, close deals, and ensure customer satisfaction through excellent post-sales support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and follow-up on projects.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets with uncapped commission potential.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment sales, preferably in the Food and Beverage industry.
  • Strong understanding of automation solutions and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in contract manufacturing sales is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently from a home office and travel as needed.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
