About the position

We are currently seeking a Territory Sales Manager to join our team, based in Pennsylvania. This role is pivotal in managing the sales territory and promoting our CPVC pipe and fitting fire suppression business while striving to meet or exceed our growth goals. The successful candidate will report directly to the National Sales Manager and will be part of a diverse group of professionals who are people-centric, thought leaders, and entrepreneurs in spirit. In this position, the Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for managing independent sales agents and networking with various customers, including distributor partners, contractors, engineers, and end-users. The role emphasizes the development of long-term, trusting relationships with these stakeholders. The primary objective is to motivate local representatives, establish sales objectives, and monitor their progress to ensure that sales goals are met. The manager will also be tasked with generating new business through existing and potential customer networks, building strong customer relationships, and obtaining favorable product specifications with local engineering firms. Additionally, the Territory Sales Manager will need to plan and allocate time and resources effectively, track leads and project opportunities, manage regional pricing strategies, and interact with internal departments such as Customer Service, Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing. Providing technical presentations and on-site training to engineers, contractors, and distributor partners will also be a key responsibility, along with resolving conflicts and providing timely solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate local sales representatives, providing guidance and direction.

Requirements

  • College degree is required (engineering or business is preferred).
  • 3-5 years of sales experience preferred in the plumbing, industrial, or fire suppression industry.
  • Strong technical, analytical, negotiating, and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software.
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
