About the position

FleetPride is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Sales Manager in the heavy-duty truck and trailer parts industry. This position requires a thorough understanding of product knowledge and application experience in the heavy-duty truck parts sector. The Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving company sales goals and budgets within the assigned territory, focusing on both retail and wholesale accounts. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional sales leadership and training skills, which will be utilized to manage the Outside Sales Representatives effectively. In this role, you will execute the training and strategic sales plan set forth by the Director of Retail Sales through effective selling techniques. Collaboration with Branch, Area, and Regional Operations personnel is essential to meet sales margin and profit goals. You will be accountable for prospecting, developing, and closing sales with branch sales personnel, while also working to increase market share, sales volume, and gross profit goals in your territory. A thorough understanding of the customer base, including current product offerings and competition, is crucial for success in this position. Additionally, you will coordinate with the wholesale sales team and assist in developing new accounts. Responsibilities include developing quotes and bids, establishing performance goals, and managing the sales team to ensure targets are met. This role is pivotal in driving the growth and success of FleetPride in the heavy-duty parts market, and it offers an exciting opportunity to work with some of the best professionals in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop, and close sales with branch sales personnel.
  • Increase market share, sales volume, and gross profit goals in the assigned territory.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the customer base, including current product offerings and competition.
  • Coordinate with the wholesale sales team to develop new accounts.
  • Develop quotes/bids, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates for customers as needed.
  • Establish performance goals and manage the sales team in the territory.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED) required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Over 5 years' experience in sales, preferably in automotive/heavy-duty truck and trailer parts.
  • Strong product knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts.
  • Understanding of the structure of FleetPride sales force and branches preferred.
  • Prior experience in the heavy-duty industry preferred.
  • Understanding of quantitative/qualitative analysis and analytical, statistical, and financial processes.
  • Proven sales skills and abilities in the context defined for this role.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
