About the position

Pro-Vac is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our high-quality environmental services across a defined sales territory. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in a business development role, and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer experiences throughout the sales cycle while managing client relationships effectively. The Territory Sales Manager will develop a strategic growth plan tailored to the specified geographic territory, leveraging strong leadership skills, negotiation strategies, and excellent organizational abilities. In this position, you will assist the Director of Sales in expanding the Pro-Vac brand by proactively generating new accounts through various sales techniques, including marketing, networking, cold calling, and referrals. Your daily responsibilities will include connecting Pro-Vac's services to communities in Texas and beyond, providing estimates to prospects using pre-defined proposals, following up on leads, and conducting outbound calls to previous customers for new projects. A deep understanding of Pro-Vac's field operations, particularly in hydro-excavation services and infrastructure processes, is essential, along with exceptional communication, negotiation, and closing skills. The successful candidate will thrive in an employee-centric work environment that values teamwork and innovation. You will be expected to increase the quantity and quality of closed deals, ensure leads requiring additional scoping are passed to field sellers, and uncover cross-sell and upsell opportunities. Your role will also involve educating contacts with insights and industry best practices, continuously improving sales and marketing activities, and managing integrated sales teams effectively. Experience in the hydrovac, construction, utilities, or environmental services industry is highly desirable, along with a proven track record in a quota-driven sales environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic growth plan for the assigned sales territory.
  • Provide exceptional customer experience during the sales cycle.
  • Manage client relationships effectively and tactfully.
  • Generate new accounts through marketing, networking, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Provide estimates to prospects using pre-defined proposals.
  • Follow up on requests that have not closed and conduct outbound calls to previous customers.
  • Leverage inbound and outbound marketing activities to work with leads.
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities when handling initial prospect requests.
  • Educate contacts with insights and industry best practices.
  • Continuously improve sales and marketing activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in a business development role.
  • 3 years of outside sales experience in the hydro-excavation services and infrastructure environment.
  • Experience in hydrovac, construction, utilities, or environmental services industry.
  • Knowledge of public and private bid processes.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Sales, or relevant field preferred.
  • Ability to travel within the markets, including Louisiana and Houston, TX.
