About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Path Master, Incorporated (PMI) is responsible for driving sales and promoting the company's traffic control equipment products across Western Ohio. This role involves engaging with customers, generating revenue through orders, and providing technical support. The position requires a strong understanding of the products and the ability to maintain positive relationships with clients while attending trade shows and training sessions to enhance product knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customers to grow and promote the sales of Path Master, Inc. products.
  • Generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders; understanding and interpreting technical requirements.
  • Assist customers by answering or forwarding their requests to office staff and follow up that requests are completed.
  • Understand equipment PMI sells and be knowledgeable to make sound suggestions to customers.
  • Attend training sessions and industry trade shows provided by PMI and vendors to maintain knowledge.
  • Plan, attend, and participate in trade show booths, conferences, and other marketing events demonstrating PMI products to customers.
  • Schedule appointments with customers to maintain positive working relationships and demonstrate PMI products.
  • Attend and communicate information from the field at a monthly Sales/Tech meeting held at headquarters.
  • Maintain awareness of pertinent client information and communicate any client information that may affect company decisions to appropriate office staff.
  • Follow up with customers on territory project quotes to close the sale of them.
  • Communicate with President or VP to negotiate customer quote prices if necessary.
  • Maintain customer accounts by recording account information in the CRM system, including meeting notes.
  • Work with agencies and/or consultants to specify PMI equipment into plan notes ahead of bidding dates.
  • Check plans and proposals for specific specification requirements and raise questions to PMI staff, vendors, and/or agencies.
  • Schedule, plan, and provide training to customers on all types of traffic control equipment.
  • Deliver and retrieve equipment from customers if requested.
  • Prepare proper paperwork for delivery or retrieval of equipment.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area including company vehicles and administrative equipment.
  • Assist co-workers as needed to complete project and assigned tasks.
  • Prepare daily sales report including all customer visits and information obtained during those visits.
  • Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 3-5 years of proven sales or marketing experience.
  • 1-2 Years Customer Service Capacity.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Internet/Emailing.
  • Familiar with Customer database systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
  • Strong presentation skills and professional appearance.
  • Ability to travel 40 hours per week and stay overnight 2-3 nights per week.
  • Valid/Clear Driver's License.
