About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Atlas Copco Compressors LLC is responsible for driving sales of rotary screw air compressors, centrifugal air compressors, air treatment, and nitrogen generation equipment within a designated territory. This role involves prospecting new customers, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales goals through strategic planning and execution. The Sales Representative will collaborate with an aftermarket sales representative to ensure high customer satisfaction and will be expected to prepare and present sales proposals, manage customer inquiries, and enhance the company's reputation through professional conduct and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, source, and maintain quality customers in assigned area to grow market share.
  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales goals by developing action plans and schedules.
  • Manage and sell products directly to customers in the assigned area.
  • Engage in planned prospecting activities to increase the customer base.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals from field activity.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and introduce new products and upgrades.
  • Prepare and present quotes, proposals, pricing, and credit terms.
  • Oversee customer services through quality checks and follow-up.
  • Maintain a professional image and enhance the company's reputation.
  • Prepare reports on activity, lost orders, closings, and performance against budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or marketing preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience or customer service experience, preferably in industrial equipment sales.
  • Self-directed with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Proven business analysis skills.
  • Ability to utilize company CRM system for logging sales visits and opportunities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in industrial equipment sales is preferred.
