As the Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining target accounts while driving sales growth and new business within a specific territory. This is such a critical role to our business and is well suited for someone who enjoys talking with customers and cultivating relationships. This is a perfect sales opportunity for the sales hunter that prefers to be home in the evening! In this role, you will lead all sales and account planning, forecasting, and reporting efforts for assigned accounts within your territory. You will need to understand, assess, and anticipate customers' objectives, strategies, and requirements to identify and pursue sales opportunities. Your success will be measured by your ability to acquire new customers and maximize supply center revenue. Providing exceptional customer service and acting as a mentor for other sales representatives will also be key components of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain target accounts while driving sales growth and new business within a specific territory.
  • Lead all sales and account planning, forecasting, and reporting efforts for assigned accounts.
  • Understand, assess, and anticipate customers' objectives, strategies, and requirements to identify and pursue sales opportunities.
  • Acquire new customers to maximize supply center revenue.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and follow up on escalated issues, maintaining a solid partnership with primary contacts for issue resolution.
  • Work closely with supply center and corporate resources to ensure order entry and fulfillment.
  • Possess strong knowledge of the AM sales process and policies, including accruals, credit, expenses, and rewards.
  • Act as a mentor for other sales representatives.
  • Bring core product specification knowledge, application, and value to the customer.
  • Understand necessary building codes and their impact on AM company products.
  • Read blueprints and understand take-off capabilities for core products.
  • Sell remodeling, new construction, project work, and Installed Sales Solutions (ISS).
  • Accurately demo all core products to small and large audiences.
  • Negotiate correct market value pricing for the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Successful sales history with 2+ years of outside sales experience.
  • Solid longevity in past positions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Vehicle that meets the vehicle reimbursement program.
  • CRM experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-directed, highly organized, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and competitive.
  • Proven experience in new business selling, upselling, and selling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience within the building materials industry is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of core building material products (specifically windows & siding) for both single and multi-family applications.
  • Preferred experience working with builders and architects to create bigger ticket sales.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 based on experience.
  • Commission structure with 55% uncapped.
