As a Territory Sales Manager at Quantum Design, Inc., you will be responsible for achieving sales quotas within your designated geographical region for the product line(s) represented. This role requires a proactive approach to cultivating and managing both new and existing customer relationships through various communication channels, including telephone, email, and face-to-face visits. You will be tasked with managing all sales activities in a timely manner, ensuring that you are consistently developing new business opportunities to increase sales revenues. Staying current on business-related trends, advances, and changes that could impact the sales plan is crucial for success in this position. In addition to meeting assigned targets for profitable sales growth, you will establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. The role may require non-standard working hours and out-of-town or out-of-country travel to effectively cover your assigned region. Participation in industry-related technical events and trade shows will also be part of your responsibilities. You will need to follow all procedures and work instructions within the Integrated Management System (IMS) related to this job description. To excel in this position, you should have a solid understanding of the product line(s) you represent, along with the ability to estimate projects and coordinate bidding activities in conjunction with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing teams. Negotiating project pricing and establishing long-term strategic partnerships with customers and suppliers will be key components of your role. You will also need to demonstrate a proven ability to grow sales through prospecting and new account development, supported by strong verbal and written communication skills. Being a self-starter, highly motivated, and organized is essential for success in this position.
