About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Pentair will be responsible for managing and growing the company's business within the MO, KS, NE, and IA territories. This role involves selling Pentair's water supply and disposal pump solutions primarily through authorized distributors and professional dealers. The position requires a strong focus on building relationships, executing sales strategies, and providing technical support to enhance brand awareness and sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow assigned Pentair business by identifying and nurturing new and existing key relationships with local communities of well drillers, plumbers, irrigation specialists, pump installers, and distributors.
  • Execute distribution and dealer sales strategies that increase top line revenue and improve return on sales for the water supply and irrigation segments.
  • Build relationships with key distributor partners and influence sales of Pentair products through technical presentations and training seminars.
  • Develop a strong technical understanding of products to address customer needs and promote brand awareness among distributor partners.
  • Analyze customer specifications to determine proper product applications and provide expertise to recommend solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in outside sales, managing a territory.
  • Experience working with indirect sales environments, especially with channel partners and distribution networks.
  • Experience in the water, fluid handling, or plumbing industries is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively utilize CRM software for lead generation and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
