About the position

As a Territory Sales Manager at Cornerstone Building Brands, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth for the market leader in windows. Your role will involve providing accurate sales forecasts and conducting competitive analyses to inform strategic decision-making. You will analyze market segments to identify opportunities for growth and development, and strategically plan your daily activities using CRM tools and a structured call frequency system to optimize sales opportunities. Customer engagement is a key aspect of this role, as you will conduct sales promotions, educational meetings, and lead generation activities to foster strong relationships with customers. You will customize sales presentations aimed at increasing annual sales for your customers and recommend pricing changes based on market dynamics and competitive analysis. Addressing customer complaints promptly and investigating issues will be essential to ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will maintain thorough sales records, including customer profiles and territory/account sales records, to track your progress and inform future strategies.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of proven direct sales experience, preferably in the building products industry
  • Thorough understanding of the building products industry and sales management experience in dealer, distribution, and/or two-step channel segments
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills essential
  • General knowledge of major competitive brands within the industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Solid time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a high level of integrity and personal motivation
  • Being adaptable and open to new ways of working is crucial
