About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for Longview, Texas and surrounding areas is responsible for managing sales, operations, and the profit and loss (P&L) of a branch to meet financial and company objectives for profitability and growth. This role involves managing a sales force to expand market penetration and ensuring timely product delivery and proper merchandising of Keurig Dr Pepper brands, including popular products like 7UP, Snapple, Core, Bai, and others to retail stores within the designated territory. This position is based out of the Longview, TX facility and supports customer stores in Longview, Texarkana, Lufkin, Monroe, and Bossier City locations. The Territory Sales Manager will directly manage a team of 8 direct reports and will be indirectly accountable for a staff of up to 100. The work schedule consists of 5 consecutive days (Monday-Friday), with some weekends and on-call responsibilities for customer needs. A personal vehicle and auto insurance are required, and there is a mileage reimbursement program for travel around the territory as needed. The role requires teaching, training, and coaching branch leadership in sales, marketing, profit growth, and market share. The manager will foster professional business relationships with all levels of management and develop strong working relationships with major chain customers. Additionally, the Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and communicating the business plan, establishing goals and objectives, monitoring results, and making necessary adjustments to ensure desired outcomes. Leadership, focus, and motivation are key components of this role, as is maintaining the company's principles and values. Meeting monthly sales targets and income goals, maintaining expenses within forecasted levels, and ensuring administrative responsibilities are executed effectively are also critical aspects of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Teach, train, and coach branch leadership in sales, marketing, profit growth, and market share.
  • Foster professional business relationships with all levels of management.
  • Develop and grow working/business relationships with all major chain customers.
  • Provide strong customer management.
  • Develop and communicate the business plan, establish goals and objectives, monitor results, and recourse as necessary to ensure the desired results.
  • Deliver the business plan by providing leadership, focus, and motivation.
  • Lead by example with integrity and maintain the company's principles and values.
  • Meet monthly sales targets and income goals.
  • Maintain expenses within forecasted levels.
  • Set, implement, and monitor trade execution standards for Direct Store Delivery.
  • Participate in regular business reviews and trade field surveys.
  • Ensure administrative responsibilities are executed in a timely and effective manner to maximize productivity of branch operations.
  • Develop and monitor staffing levels for all branch operations.
  • Maintain company safety standards throughout the branch.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
  • 5 years consumer products goods sales experience in progressively responsible positions.
  • 3 years previous management/supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
