About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Miller-Bradford & Risberg is responsible for driving sales activities from lead generation to closing sales. This role focuses on customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and achieving long-term account goals while adhering to the company's vision and values. The position involves customer segmentation and requires building and maintaining strong relationships with clients across designated territories.

Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue by identifying new business opportunities through building new relationships and leveraging existing ones.
  • Identify business opportunities by visiting prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching, and analyzing sales options.
  • Prepare professional sales presentations and quotations for customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidance, and recommending new opportunities.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries regarding products, service, delivery, and invoicing.
  • Collaborate with the Compact Equipment Salesperson and PSSR to enhance collective sales and customer support.
  • Act as a sales consultant and problem solver, effectively handling follow-up calls and customer issues.
  • Complete weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports as requested by the Branch Manager & VP of Sales.
  • Engage in local trade associations to network and develop customer relationships.
  • Participate in the development of educational programs for employees, clients, and prospects.
  • Develop a database of qualified leads through various outreach methods.
  • Achieve and/or exceed annual sales objectives for new unit sales and used equipment dollar volume.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in sales or a related field.
  • Strong customer segmentation skills based on fleet size and equipment type.
  • Ability to prepare professional sales presentations and quotations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for relationship building.
  • Proficient in customer service and problem-solving.
