About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Empire Distributing is responsible for executing a strategic growth plan in the outdoor living industry across the New England region. This role focuses on expanding the dealer network and enhancing relationships with existing customers, ensuring exceptional customer service and product knowledge. The position requires significant travel and aims to achieve sales goals through effective account management and relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a strategic growth plan in the outdoor living industry.
  • Travel on the road to call on current and potential dealers, with a minimum of 8-10 overnights per month.
  • Achieve and exceed sales goals by partnering with existing dealers and establishing new accounts.
  • Cultivate B2B relationships with decision makers at all levels, targeting brick and mortar locations and specialized Home Builders and Contractors.
  • Develop, communicate, and monitor territory business plans, providing daily updates to the leadership team.
  • Provide exceptional product knowledge and technical training to strengthen dealer's product knowledge.
  • Solve problems and maintain a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Attend dealer events, regional shows, and national shows to promote Empire Distributing products.

Requirements

  • Strong Work Ethic
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Account management or territory sales experience
  • Track record of success achieving goals while providing exceptional customer service and follow up
  • Strong ability to manage time effectively, including overnight travel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
