About the position

Berry Global Group, Inc. is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business prospects and interacting with existing customers to increase sales of our PVC Overwrap Films product line. This is a field sales position that requires you to interface with customer contacts at multiple levels, including Purchasing, Product Development, Operations, Quality, Sales, and Marketing. You will be working with a diverse range of accounts, from small businesses to large companies across various market segments, primarily focusing on users and distributors of flexible food packaging, including grocery, food service, and processors. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will oversee the activities of locally assigned sales agents and brokers, acting as a facilitator between them and Berry Global for support in pricing, samples, and product development. This position will cover the Midwest territory, and you will be expected to develop and implement effective selling strategies tailored to each customer. Your ability to build long-term, multi-level relationships with customers will be crucial in exceeding budget goals and driving sales growth. You will also be responsible for reporting and forecasting sales activities, ensuring that you work well with all levels of co-workers in our plants and other offices. This role requires a self-starter who is results-oriented and possesses strong project management skills, as well as the ability to learn new products and technologies quickly. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, as you will be required to negotiate effectively and drive business solutions across various functions within the organization.

Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent
  • Self-starter that is results-oriented
  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience
  • Up to 50% travel
  • Flexible films and/or flexographic printing experience is strongly desired
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to drive business solutions
  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • Innovative with strong project management skills
  • Ability to learn new products and technologies
