About the position

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales activities in Illinois, Iowa, and Eastern Missouri for an agriculture distributor. This role focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with dealers, managing current accounts, and expanding the customer base. The position requires a strong emphasis on sales, customer service, and the ability to analyze market opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain sales habits for current accounts and growth of new accounts in the territory.
  • Build relationships with current dealers, prospective dealers, and other industry representatives.
  • Sell the current book of vendors and product lines through dealer accounts.
  • Quote retail end users with appropriate dealer margins in the pricing structure.
  • Administer and support manufacturer sales pre-season order programs.
  • Conduct in-person and routine inventory of floorplan or dated inventory.
  • Administer and support manufacturer's warranty on distributed and representative products.
  • Attend and support trade shows in the territory.
  • Travel and train dealer sales personnel on new products and current lines.
  • Deliver and transfer products to dealer locations when necessary.
  • Research and analyze opportunities for new products and potential markets in the territory.
  • Plan and execute demos on current products at retail and dealer levels.
  • Execute all company policies, including Dealer Call Reports and inventory reporting.

Requirements

  • Experience with CRM software
  • Strong sales and customer service skills
  • Valid CDL A or ability to obtain one
  • Mid-level analysis skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Valid Driver's License
