About the position

Our client is looking to build out their sales team as they are a fast-growing company in the hospitality and food distribution sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in calling on restaurants and chains, selling products or services tailored to this industry. This position is designed for a strong hunter and business development professional who can drive sales and contribute to the company's growth. Reporting directly to the Owner/President, the candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong outside sales experience, professionalism, and exceptional people skills, including listening, communication, and customer service abilities, which are essential for success in this role. The candidate must possess outside sales and marketing experience specifically in the hospitality, food sales and distribution, kitchen equipment sales, restaurants, or catering industries. Experience in industries closely related to the sale and distribution of food ingredients and supplies will be a significant advantage. The role requires competence in time management, the ability to set priorities, and the drive to implement sales strategies and marketing initiatives with minimal supervision. The candidate will be responsible for providing weekly updates and progress reviews on sales targets, comparing planned versus actual results, and tracking sales performance. Additionally, the candidate will need to analyze sales performance and results, design and implement effective sales strategies, and self-identify any sales shortfalls, developing plans to close these gaps. Collaboration with the Operations Manager will be necessary to address any operational or service issues that arise. The compensation package includes a base salary with an uncapped commission structure paid out quarterly, a yearly 15% bonus, and a car allowance. Candidates must reside in the Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach, or Destin Florida area.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by calling on restaurants and chains to sell products or services.

  • Track sales performance and analyze results to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to resolve operational or service issues.

Requirements

  • Strong outside sales experience in the hospitality or food distribution industry.
  • Proven track record in business development and sales.
