The Territory Sales Representative role at Summit Business Group involves working independently to cultivate relationships with local businesses and provide supplemental insurance products. This position is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, enjoy helping others, and thrive in a sales environment. The representative will be responsible for meeting with business owners and decision-makers, conducting product presentations, and maintaining a book of business while receiving training and support from the company.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate new relationships with local businesses.
  • Grow a book of business and care for clients.
  • Respond to general emails and phone calls from clients.
  • Set follow-up appointments with prospective and current clients.
  • Meet with business owners and decision-makers to offer insurance products.
  • Conduct product presentations for employee groups of 50-100+ people.
  • Follow up on provided sales leads and cold-call on businesses in person.
  • Submit daily sales metrics and activity reports.

Requirements

  • Valid Life & Health Insurance License (or willingness to obtain).
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of professional work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with high schoolers.
  • Previous outside sales experience.
