About the position

The Territory Sales Representative role at Cox Communications is a residential sales position focused on door-to-door sales in the Fort Smith, AR area. Responsibilities

  • Generate new leads, sales, and upgrades through door-to-door canvassing and networking.
  • Conduct face-to-face sales presentations, assessing customer needs and closing sales.
  • Build relationships with homeowner associations, multi-dwelling unit managers, and leasing agents to drive sales.
  • Assist in training new hires and collaborate with other departments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Occasionally install or disconnect customer telecommunication services and collect payments.
  • Work non-traditional hours to maximize customer contact opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
  • Valid state driver's license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to qualify for certifications and licenses required to sell home security.
  • Proficient knowledge of and ability to operate a smartphone, iPad, and computer.
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions and walk 1.5 miles or more daily.

Nice-to-haves

  • BS/BA degree
  • Knowledge of local market with established local contacts
  • 1+ years of outside/field sales/door-to-door experience with quota requirements
  • Experience in residential direct sales, home security, or telecommunications industry.
