About the position

The Territory Sales Representative at Summit Business Group is an outside sales role focused on building relationships with local businesses to offer supplemental insurance products. The representative will work independently while also being part of a supportive team, aiming to grow a book of business and assist clients effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate new relationships with local businesses.
  • Grow a book of business and care for clients in their time of need.
  • Respond to general emails and phone calls from clients.
  • Set follow-up appointments with prospective and current clients to review their needs.
  • Meet with business owners and decision-makers to offer supplemental insurance products.
  • Conduct product presentations with employee groups of 50-100+ people.
  • Follow up on provided sales leads and cold-call on businesses in person.
  • Submit daily sales metrics and activity reports.
  • Set and submit scheduled working hours to the sales manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum of 4 years of professional work experience.
  • Life & Health Insurance License required or willingness to obtain it (license reimbursement offered).
  • Entry-level experience in sales or outside sales.

  • Experience working with high schoolers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to make friends easily.
