Recreation and Wellness at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a TES Photographer and Videographer! The individual in this role represents, produces, develops, and archives photographic and video documentation of Recreation and Wellness programs, services, and events. This position is crucial in creating consistent, high-quality photographs and videos that enhance the visual identity and brand of the department in accordance with established university standards. The assignments may take place onsite or on location and often occur after standard business hours, requiring flexibility and adaptability from the candidate. The TES unit, part of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, serves as an in-house support center to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. It provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees across various occupations to fulfill staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are typically hired to assist in the absence of regular employees, during peak workloads, for special projects, seasonal work, or emergencies. This role offers a unique opportunity to showcase professional skills while gaining valuable work experience within the higher education sector. The selected candidate will utilize their professional knowledge and artistic judgment to deliver the highest quality photography and video for sports, fitness, outdoor recreation, and wellness programs, competitions, and special events. They will also be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive library of photography and video, ensuring all images are efficiently labeled and archived for future use. Additionally, the role includes mentoring and training student workers in photography, videography, and editing, contributing to the development of future professionals in the field.
