About the position

The Test and Evaluation Engineer position at SURVICE Engineering involves supporting the Tactical Systems Test and Evaluation Branch within the Product Assurance and Test Directorate. The role focuses on developing and implementing test strategies, mentoring less experienced engineers, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective testing processes for defense systems. This position is integral to the defense community, requiring a strong technical background and the ability to manage and communicate complex test-related information.

Responsibilities

  • Support and mentor less experienced T&E engineers in developing T&E strategies and processes.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and external organizations to ensure effective testing.
  • Develop and maintain a T&E competency management program including training and career development.
  • Maintain test-related documents and schedules, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Coordinate and participate in engagements with ATEO, ATEC HQ, and DOT&E.
  • Lead the development of test-related common SOW language and validation plans.
  • Conduct quarterly test meetings to discuss ongoing programs and share lessons learned.
  • Provide programmatic advice and knowledge of engineering and value management technologies.
  • Develop and present data for program reviews and status reporting.
  • Encourage cross-PM communication within the PEO CS&CSS Test Community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field of study.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in test and evaluation engineering.
  • Ability to support and mentor less experienced engineers.
  • Strong collaborative skills with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of program management processes and best practices.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) processes.
  • Familiarity with programmatic documentation such as TEMP and SAMP.
  • Knowledge of the CCDC structure and organization.
